Nihilum Welcomes Semphis, Parts with flowsicK
Nihilum Announces CS: GO Team Roster Changes
Nihilum Gaming is proud to announce the signing of Kory "Semphis" Friesen, formerly of Cloud 9, to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team roster. In addition we're happy to report that it was an amicable process without any issues for all parties involved to ultimately amount to a smooth transaction.
Unfortunately we're saddened to also announce the release of our long tenured member, Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez, with that being said. Mendez has been released from his contract and is now a free agent in the CS: GO market. We sincerely thank Mendez for all of his hard work and contributions as he was an integral component of this team and their overall rise. We wish Mendez nothing but the absolute best and once again thank him very much.
Thank you very much to our title sponsor, Kinguin, as none of this would be possible without them.
Nihilum Drops to CLG in CEVO Debut
Despite the roster change there was no time to waste for the Nihilum crew as they faced off against Counter Logic Gaming for the debut match of the new CEVO Professional season. Due to a unanimous team vote the format for this CEVO match was a best-of-two series as there's simply too many tournaments and matches now going on in the competitive CS: GO scene which impacts the schedule and time of each competing team.
After a furious back and forth battle on de_cache, the team were edged out in a close overtime. With the next map set on de_overpass, Nihilum just couldn't find their rhythm and CLG took the series, 2-0. Good game to CLG and hopefully Nihilum can bounce back from this early season loss with the new lineup.
